Flexible control
Divisible rooms are more challenging from an audio-visual perspective as they require the flexibility to be configured for a single AV presentation when open (combined), or independent presentation sessions when closed.
These rooms lend themselves to a Networked AV over IP system to provide the most design flexibility. AV over IP system designs are very adaptable. They use Digital Media / Ethernet switch at the heart of the system, with simple network connections to endpoint locations to handle presenter and source device connections, the displays, amplifiers, and cameras for video conferencing.
Control system software will allow the rooms setup to be operated from a centralised touch panel. This system can be programmed to automatically reconfigure itself based on the setup of the room, using partition switch contact closures. Each room can be operated independently with a wall-mounted touch panel in each room.
